We have become accustomed to photographs: the magic has somehow gone. A pencil portrait brings back that sense of magic: it emphasises, clarifies... and sometimes conceals.
I draw portraits based on photographs using pencil or a combination of pencil and ink, reproducing the minute details of the original photograph to give a stunning likeness of the subject.
I have a studio in Egypt: the light is good, and costs are low so I can afford the time to make every portrait as good as is humanly possible. For more about me, see the about page.
Commissioning a portrait is no longer for the rich: thanks to digital photography, anybody can send an image to my studio and receive a remarkable pencil portrait for a modest fee. See the Fees section for more information.
For more information about the options available, please see the Commissions section.
